Meteorphossis Garden (change garden) Kohei Nawa / April 12 (Mon)- Metamorphosis Garden Kohei Nawa／April 12 (Mon.)〜
"Methamorphosis Garden" is an installation on the theme of a world where life and substances or ambiguous things at the border coexist. As a development of the installation of Biota (Fora) in the Seto Inland Sea and Inujima, a new story from chaos was expressed.
"Ether" and "Trans-Deer" as symbols of life standing up there with irregular islands and drops. Sculptures covered with grains of alumina and microbeads float in the atrium space. There, AR performances co-produced by choreographer Damian Jare develop, and the constantly changing world overlaps with real objects and AR images.

Sculptor/Sandwitch Inc. presided over/Kyoto University of the Arts Professor
Born in 1975 Based in Kyoto. In 2003, he completed a doctoral sculpture major at Kyoto City University of the Arts Graduate School of Art. Get the first doctor. Founded Sandwitch in 2009. Nawa focused on the epidermis of sculpture as an interface that connects to the senses, and in 2002 announced PixCel, a symbol of the information age, based on the concept of cell (cells and grains). Under the theme of the relationship between life and space, sensibility and technology, painting with gravity "Direction", "Force" where silicone oil pours into the air, "Biomarix" of foam and grid appearing on the liquid surface, and "Foam" where the foam itself grows into a huge volume, the definition of sculpture is flexibly interpreted, and the perception of the material is opened to viewers. In recent years, he has also worked on architectural projects such as the art pavilion "Kouiwa". Since 2015, he has been performing a performance work "VESSSEL" in Japan and abroad in collaboration with Belgian choreography / dancer Damian Jare. In 2018, a special sculpture "Throne" was exhibited in the pyramid of the Louvre Art Museum in France.
Nawa is a stage art, Damian Jare is a choreography, and a performance work featuring elite dancers from Moriyama. Even now, replays continue at theaters around the world.

In addition to dancing, he has jointly produced works with sculptor Antony Jamesy, musicians, choreographers, film directors, designers, etc., and has been involved in choreography of operas and music videos. At the 2013 Paris National Opera, he premiered "Boléro", co-created with Sidi Ralbi Shell Kawi and Marina Abramovich, and received a favorable reception and received the French Order of Arts and Culture Schvalier. These include “THR (O) UGH” (2015) and “BABEL 7.16” (2016, “Avignon Theater Festival 2016”) in collaboration with Jim Hodges and others. In 2017, he was appointed artistic director of the British National Youth Dance Company. Associate artist at the National Charyo Theater in Paris.
In GINZA SIX, the floor around the 3rd to 5th floor atrium is an au5G area. MEC servers perform complicated graphic processing that cannot be achieved by smartphone alone. ※By performing on 1 and streaming 3D data to iPhone via 5G communication, we aim to realize an unprecedented rich and emotional AR expression. 5G compatible model for iPhone ※It is designed so that you can experience the best of 2.

Metamorphosis Garden is an installation with the theme of life, matter, and a world in which ambiguous entities coexist on the boundary between the two. Expressing the emergence of a new narrative out of chaos, it is a development from the Biota (Fauna/Flora) installation (2013) on Inujima island in the Seto Inland Sea. Ether and Trans-Deer emerge as symbols of life from irregularly shaped islands and droplets in a group of sculptures covered with alumina and microbeads floating in the atrium space. An augmented reality performance created in collaboration with choreographer Damien Jalet creates a constantly changing world in which real objects and images of augmented reality overlap.

Sculptor / director of Sandwich Inc. / professor at Kyoto University of the Arts
Born in 1975, and based in Kyoto, Japan, Kohei Nawa received a PhD in Fine Art/Sculpture from Kyoto City University of Arts in 2003, and established SANDWICH in 2009. Focusing on the surface “skin” of sculpture as an interface connecting to the senses, Nawa began his PixCell series in 2002 based on the concept of the cell, symbolizing the information age. Adopting a flexible interpretation of the meaning of sculpture, he produces perceptual experiences that reveal the physical properties of materials to the viewer through works addressing themes related to life and the cosmos and to artistic sensibility and technology, including Direction, in which he produces paintings using gravity, Force, in which silicone oil pours down through a space, Biomatrix, in which bubbles and grids emerge on a liquid surface, and Foam, in which bubbles form enormous volumes. Recently, Nawa has also worked on architectural projects, including the art pavilion Kohtei. VESSEL, a performance work produced in conjunction with Belgo-French choreographer and dancer Damien Jalet, has been presented around the world since its premiere in 2015. In 2018, his sculpture Throne was exhibited under the Pyramid at the Musée du Louvre in Paris, France.
VESSEL is performance art with scenography by Kohei Nawa and choreography by Damien Jalet, working with Mirai Moriyama and other top dancers. It is still being performed, traveling to theaters around the world.

In Foam, bubbles form continually together with the subtle amplitude of the liquid. Small bubbles (cells) gradually cover the surface of the liquid and accumulate to form an autonomous organic structure comprised of a mass of bubbles—foam.

About augmented reality
The space at GINZA SIX around the atrium extending from the third to the fifth floors forms an au 5G area. The area aims to create augmented reality art of un-precedented richness and emotional power by using MEC servers※1o perform complex graphical processing that cannot be run on a smartphone and streaming the three-dimensional data to iPhones using 5G. The system is designed to providethe best viewing experience with iPhone models that support 5G※2
